With Spider-Man returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a lot of fans are hoping that means the X-Men and Fantastic Four will eventually return home one day as well.
In an interview with the Perception design studio, it’s brought up that Hugh Jackman once said the only way he would ever return to the Wolverine role if it was in an Avengers movie.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige offers the following response, and while Feige does state there are no plans to get other Marvel characters back in the MCU as of right now, he’s not ruling it out:
Well, I think Hugh has an amazing final bow in Logan this year, so I don’t know if he should go anywhere beyond that. Ten movies in, what an amazing way to end. It was just great.
But yes, of course. I mean my goal is to replicate the experience that comic book fans have reading the books up on the screen. And we’ve been able to accomplish that beyond my wildest dreams over the last ten years including Spidey in Civil War, and the upcoming Infinity War was yet another dream… that I didn’t even dare to talk about publicly because I though that the odds of it were very slim. So no plans beyond for that right now for the few remaining charcters that aren’t in the MCU, but I always say ‘never say never’ who knows what can happen in the future
