Last week saw a listing appear on Amazon’s German site showing that a Justice League home video release featured 15 minutes of extra footage leading to speculation a Justice League Extended Cut was going to be released.
Now, however, the listing has been changed to 121 minutes, which is basically the runtime of the Justice League theatrical version and now casts doubt that WB will release an extended version of Joss Whedon’s Justice League movie or even Zack Snyder’s version.
With the listing going back and forth, it could simply be possible that whoever is editing the information doesn’t have confirmation or the correct info for the Justice League home video release, so cross your fingers a Justice League Extended Cut does get released.
WB did release extended cuts for both Batman vs. Superman and Suicide Squad, so hopefully they follow up with a Justice League Extended Cut, which a lot of fans want released.
It’s unknown whether or not an extended cut of Joss Whedon’s version of Justice League or Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be released–or even both. WB could very well put out extended versions of both or their movies, with Zack Snyder’s more than likely to get released at a later date as Joss Whedon’s extended cut would be easier and faster to produce.
Warner Bros. hasn’t officially commented on a Justice League Extended Cut themselves, so consider everything speculation as of now.
