Awesome Juggernaut Deadpool 2 Concept Art

Deadpool 2 gave us our best version of Juggernaut on screen to date, which was a lot better than the previous versions.

While I have heard people both complain and praise what they did with Juggernaut in Deadpool 2, I can say that I didn’t have any problem with it, and I’m a pretty big fan of the character.

Now check out a cool piece of Juggernaut Deadpool 2 concept art from artist Alexander Lozano who posted the following image on Instagram, which is actually an early design when original director Tim Miller was attached.

“JUGGERNAUT! ..character design for the Tim Miller version of Deadpool 2,” Lozano posted, noting it is one of five designs.

Tim Miller left Deadpool 2 over creative differences, with David Leitch then coming on board, but we see that apparently Tim Miller wanted to stay true to the comic book look of Juggernaut, which you can see is a bit different from the Deadpool 2 version.

Regarding how Juggernaut was put together for the film, David Leitch previously offered the following:

“We had somebody in a gray suit, you know, performance capture, but we weren’t recording,” Leitch said. “It was only for a reference on film. We weren’t recording mo-cap. He’s completely animated and so, we just thought, because his geometry, he’s so tall, getting performance capture onset for his physicality wasn’t effective. If it was going to be an actor where we saw his face, we would probably have done a face rig, but it wasn’t that situation. So, we had different stunt performers at different times play him as reference, but it was never a mo-cap situation.”

Worth a mention is that Juggernaut is now back with Marvel Studios since Disney purchased Fox Studios, so hopefully Kevin Feige has plans for the Unstoppable Cain Marko for the MCU.

Deadpool 2 is now available on Blu-Ray.
