Jude Law Cast In Captain Marvel As Mar-Vell

Jude Law has been cast in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie set to star alongside Brie Larson.

Variety reports Jude Law will be playing Doctor Walter Lawson, a.k.a. Mar-Vell, who becomes a mentor of sorts to Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers as she tries to figure out her new powers.

Ben Mendelsohn is also said to be playing the villain of the movie (possibly the leader of the Skrulls or a Skrull Commander).

Samuel L. Jackson also returns in Captain Marvel as Nick Fury.

Captain Marvel has a March 8, 2019 release directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck with Geneva Robertson-Dworet writing the script.

Plot details for Captain Marvel include that it has been said the film will actually be taking place in the 1990’s – prior to Iron Man – and will feature the Skrulls as the villains. Brie Larson is also set to appear in the untitled Avengers 4.
