The Grandmaster is preparing for Thor: Ragnarok.
Jeff Goldblum took to social media to post an image of himself reading Thor #374.
“I’m nothing if not conscientious,” Goldblum posted on Instagram.
While the issue doesn’t feature the Grandmaster, interestingly enough the comic does feature Hela, played by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok, who casts a spell on Thor which weakens him. The curse actually gives Thor brittle unhealable bones.
Regarding the Grandmaster, who in the comics is the brother to The Collector (and is played by Benicio Del Toro in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies), it’s possible in Thor: Ragnarok that he may be responsible for getting Hulk in space and pairing the Green Goliath with Thor.
“Thor: Raganarok” has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
