James Gunn is on board The Avengers: Infinity War as a producer as his Guardians of the Galaxy are slated to help Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes take down the Mad Titan, Thanos.
While promoting The Belko Experiment, which Gunn wrote and also produced, Gunn told io9 about his involvement with The Avengers: Infinity War.
“I’ve been heavily involved in what the Guardians do in Avengers: Infinity War,” Gunn offered. “I gave [the film’s directors the Russo brothers] tons of advice on how to direct the actors, talked to them a lot during the shooting, and talked to the actors a lot during the shooting to make sure that the Guardians are staying authentic.”
It’s unknown how involved the Guardians of the Galaxy are with The Avengers: Infinity War, but Marvel did release a new featurette featuring Chris Pratt and what looks to be some sort of alien planet in the background (watch below).
James Gunn’s The Belko Experiment opens this Friday; Guardians of the Galaxy 2 opens May 5th, and The Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4, 2018.
