James Gunn confirms the Superman runtime that has recently been going around, seemingly revealing there will be a post-credit scene, and also responds to recent rumors.

Earlier on social media saw fans post screengrabs from movie theater websites that state the Superman runtime is 2hrs 9min. Gunn confirmed with mention of possible post-credit scenes.
“Yes. Inclusive of credits/post credits the runtime is 2 hours 9 minutes,” said Gunn.

What will be the Superman post-credit scene?
Following the release of Superman, up next from the DCU on the big screen is the Supergirl movie. It’s been said Milly Alcock will be appearing, so fans think the Superman post-credit scene will feature Alock as Supergirl leading into her movie which gets released June 26, 2026. There could very well be two post-credit scenes, as Peacemaker Season 2 gets released August 21, 2025 on HBO Max.
What does James Gunn say about the rumors?
Recent rumors claim that Gunn has cut around 25 minutes of the movie. Rumors claim the flick underwent a course correction as Gunn, DC co-head Peter Safran, and WBD CEO David Zaslav were said to be “scrutinizing” the final cut.
However, Gunn fires back at those claims and replies, “Zero truth to that. And they couldn’t even if that’s something that they wanted to. It’s a DC Studios film.”

Superman flies into theaters on July 11
