Back when Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was filming, set images hit the net offering up some really cool Marvel COSMIC comic book Easter Eggs.
However, upon viewing the movie, it was revealed the scenes has been disappointingly cut by James Gunn.
Now nearly six months following the release of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, James Gunn takes to Facebook to show off some pics of the Easter Eggs, which includes references to Rocket Raccoon creator Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen, Drax and Thanos creator Jim Starlin, references to the writers of the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy comic, who without there would be no movie, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, and Steve Englehart, creator of Mantis.
James Gunn also cut Greg Henry as the grandfather of Peter Quill.
Hopefully we’ll get some cool Easter Eggs for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Mark Gruenwald would rock!
