James Gunn Brightburn Poster Drips Blood

The first poster for James Gunn’s superhero horror film, Brightburn, has been released featuring an evil take on Superman with a blood-dripping cape.

The movie is a take on the classic Superman story, but with a twist, as instead of being good, the kid is evil. Watch the trailer above!

Here is the official synopsis:

What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.

Brightburn has a May 24, 2019 release directed by David Yarovesky, written by Mark Gunn & Brian Gunn, produced by James Gunn and Kenneth Huang, and executive produced by Mark Gunn, Brian Gunn, Dan Clifton, Simon Hatt, and Nic Crawley.

The movie stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones, and Meredith Hagner.
