The good news continues for the movie business as Disney’s Inside Out 2 has passed a billion dollars at the box office, and the opening of A Quiet Place: Day One is a franchise record.
There has been worry that audiences might be fatigued by the movie industry and going to the movie theaters, but that is not the case. What audiences are fatigued of is poor content, especially content that sends a “message” over quality story.
Also riding high is Bad Boys Ride or Die which crosses $300 million, the Garfield Movie is over $200 million, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes keeps chugging along with nearly $400 million.
Next week sees Despicable Me 4 open, which is expected to open big, and in less than a month is Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which is expected to have the biggest opening of the year, possibly north of $200 million.
