HBO has released the House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer along with character posters and images with word the series returns the Summer of 2024.
“The eight-episode second season debuts summer 2024 on HBO and will be available to stream on Max,” announced HBO at Brazil’s CCXP.

The posters feature Emma D’Arcy who returns as Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, with Olivia Cooke as Queen Alicent Hightower.
Season 2 details:
The returning Season 2 cast also includes Matt Smith, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
New to the cast includes Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. Previously announced new season two cast includes Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, the series House of the Dragon takes place 172 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen.
