Hogwarts Legacy, the biggest global launch ever for Warner Bros. Games, has surpassed 15 million units sold and $1 billion in worldwide sales on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The game was released on February 10, 2023.
Warner Bros. Games also announced the game is now available for PS4 and XBox One, and is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 25.
Hogwarts Legacy invites players to embark on an epic journey as a fifth-year student at Hogwarts, gifted with a rare ability to tap into ancient, powerful magic. Guided by the Wizard’s Field Guide and unique instruction from professors and other characters, fans will uncover a compelling storyline filled with thrilling challenges and mysteries. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy introduces an original story that puts players at the center of their own wizarding world adventure.
The game also set a record as the biggest single-player game ever on Twitch where there have been 1.28 million peak concurrent viewers on Twitch at launch, in addition to 280 million hours played in the first couple of weeks, and a 300% higher traffic to Wizarding World Digital over normal monthly unique visitor average for the first 10 days of February.

What is Hogwarts Legacy about?

Guided by the Wizard’s Field Guide and unique instruction from professors and other characters, fans will uncover a compelling storyline filled with thrilling challenges and mysteries.
Warner Bros. Discovery has also announced plans for an original Harry Potter scripted television series which will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter book series by author and executive producer, J.K. Rowling.
