James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer is currently the third most viewed trailer in history (behind Beauty and the Beast and Fast 8), so it's safe to say that fans are expecting a lot from Gunn and the cast.

The good news is that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 looks to deliver as Chris Pratt had some positive words to say about the movie during a recent appearance at SiriusXM for The Jess Cagle Interview (via EW).

“It’s bigger and better than the first movie in every way," Pratt said. "And that’s saying a lot because I think the first movie is really good.”

Pratt continues by giving credit to James Gunn.

"James Gunn is the auteur,” Pratt said. “He’s the man behind Guardians of the Galaxy. He wrote the movie, he directed the movie … The first one and the second one. So this is completely his vision. In my opinion, there is no equal in Hollywood. I think he is the best I’ve worked for, and with. And I owe so much to him. Really. And, it’s him.”

So with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 about five months away and not much known about the plot, will Chris Pratt offer up any clues?

"I almost don’t want to say anything,” Pratt said. “I know that there’s enough interest for people to go out and see this movie. … All you need to know is I cried when I read the script. It’s really, really fun, but there’s also some genuine, deep emotion that you get to see in this movie. And James Gunn, thank God for James Gunn.”

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" has a May 5, 2017 release starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.
