GTA 6 fans can breathe a little easier.
Following confirming a fair cost, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on track for its November 19, 2026 release date, shutting down the latest round of delay fears as Rockstar fans wait for a third trailer, gameplay, pre-orders, and the full marketing push.
Take-Two also called GTA 6 “the most anticipated entertainment property of all time” in its latest financial results, with the company expecting a huge fiscal year led by Rockstar’s next Grand Theft Auto.

Take-Two Says GTA 6 Is Still Coming November 19
Speaking with IGN ahead of Take-Two’s fiscal year 2026 financial results, Zelnick made it clear the date has not changed.
“I’ve been saying for some time that the release date is November 19,” Zelnick said. “We obviously reiterated that today, so we feel really good about it.”
That should put the latest delay speculation to rest, at least for now.
Rockstar previously delayed GTA 6 to November 19, 2026, after the game had been set for May 2026. Since then, fans have been watching every Take-Two earnings call, Rockstar post, and trailer rumor for any sign the game might move again.
For now, Take-Two says it is staying right where it is.

GTA 6 Marketing Starts This Summer
Take-Two also confirmed Rockstar’s plan to start the GTA 6 marketing campaign this summer, with pre-orders expected to go live around the same window.
That lines up with fans waiting on the third trailer, which has become one of the biggest unanswered questions around the game.
Rockstar has released two GTA 6 trailers so far, but the studio still hasn’t shown a full gameplay presentation. For most games, that would be strange this close to launch. For GTA 6, Rockstar can get away with a lot more because the hype is already massive.
Still, Zelnick said even the biggest entertainment releases need marketing.

Does GTA 6 Even Need Trailer 3?
IGN also asked Zelnick if GTA 6 could get away with not releasing a third trai;er or showing gameplay before launch.
Zelnick didn’t answer directly, but he said Rockstar will talk about GTA “in the fullness of time.”
He then compared it to the movie business, saying even a major sequel like Mission: Impossible still gets a big marketing campaign because audiences need to engage with a release before it arrives.
“So if you put out a sequel to Mission: Impossible, trust me, the studio is still going to spend a whole lot of money marketing that title,” Zelnick said.
In other words, GTA 6 may not need a normal marketing campaign, but Rockstar is still going to have one.
