Green Lantern Character Joins Arrow Season 5

Green Lantern Character Joins Arrow Season 5

There has been hints and teases of Green Lantern in the CW DC TV universe for a while now.

We’ve seen various Coast City Easter Eggs in Arrow and The Flash,Ā and even Stephen Amell has teased Green Lantern.

Now a Green Lantern-related character has been cast for Arrow Season 5.

TV Line reports Carly Pope (The Tomorrow People) will play theĀ recurring role of Susan Williams, a journalist from nearby Coast City who comes to Star City ā€œlooking to make a name for herselfā€ by targeting Oliver Queen for a big story.

In the DC comics, Susan Williams is married to Jim Jordan, the younger brother of Green Lantern Hal Jordan.

Hopefully this means more Green Lantern to come.

Now whether that actually happens seems to be currently up in the air as it’s been said Green Lantern has been ruled out of TV because of the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie; however, that isn’t for a few years off, and now Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) will be in the CW DC universe, which may be a sign that WB’s policies are changing (Suicide Squad characters axed in Arrow because of movie, etc).

ā€œArrowā€ Season 5 premieres Wednesday, October 5th.
