Grant Gustin Confirms Flashpoint For The Flash Season 3

The Season 2 finale for The Flash saw a page come to life straight out of the comic books, and now Grant Gustin teases Flashpoint.

Gustin took to Twitter to reveal the title of the first episode of Season 3, which is “Flashpoint.”

“Just finished reading episode 3-01 titled JK NOT GONNA TELL YOU YET! I’m SO excited to get back to work in 2 weeks,” Gustin tweeted.

Showrunner Greg Berlanti then responded with: “I’m cool with you telling them the title.”

Gustin followed that up by tweeting: “FLASHPOINT. This is not a drill.”

Update: Gustin also tweeted out Flashpoint for their series will be its own thing:

“We’re definitely doing this FP thing our own way.. I’ve read Flashpoint, I’ve seen the amazing animated film. This will be its own thing.”

The Season 2 finale of The Flash saw Barry go back in time to save his mother. In the DC Comics Flashpoint storyline, Barry saves his mother which altered the DC universe, including introducing the New 52.

The Flash Season 3 premieres Tuesday, October 4th at 8pm ET on The CW.
