The Flash TV Series Gets John Wesley Shipp In Mysterious Role

Has the CW cast Jay Garrick?

It’s learned that John Wesley Shipp, the Flash from the 90s‘ TV series, will guest star in the new pilot and will have a recurring role assuming the Grant Gustin series gets picked up for a full run.

THR reports that John Wesley Shipp has been cast in The Flash, but the role is unknown only to be described as “mysterious.”

Perhaps Shipp will play Jay Garrick, who in the comic books is the original Flash before Barry Allen?

Shipp appeared as Barry Allen in The Flash TV series that ran for two seasons from 1990-91 and most recently appeared on episodes of Teen Wolf and is known for Dawson’s Creek as well.

John Wesely Shipp joins joins Grant Gustin as Barry Allen and the Flash, Carlos Valdes as Vibe, Candice Patton a Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Detective West and Rick Cosnett as Detective Eddie Thawne.

It’a also reported the character of Hartley Rathaway has yet to be cast.
