First Look At Miek In Thor: Ragnarok

Thor Ragnarok Miek

A first look at Miek is shown off in new Thor: Ragnarok concept art.

Marvel Studios artist Andy Park took to Instagram to show off his work on the back cover of the Thor: Ragnarok Art of the Movie book

We see Miek looks a lot different than the comics, which is pretty disappointing seeing how the character was a big part of the Planet Hulk comic book storyline (I’m a huge Hulk fan). In addition, I believe it’s been said Miek doesn’t talk in the movie, which is rather odd, as in the comics he has a unique voice. I really don’t understand why they change the characters from the comics. Why bother? Just create a new character, the general audience won’t know the difference.

Andy Park’s concept art also includes a look at Korg, another of Hulk’s Warbound, with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi actually playing Korg in the movie. That also looks like another look at Surtur in the background at the top.

Thor: Raganarok has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Sam Neill in an unknown role.

Thor’s world is about to explode in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok. His devious brother, Loki, has taken over Asgard, the powerful Hela has emerged to steal the throne for herself and Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe. To escape captivity and save his home from imminent destruction, Thor must first win a deadly alien contest by defeating his former ally and fellow Avengers… The Incredible Hulk!
