Walton Goggins Shares Fallout Season 2 Update

Fallout fans, get ready. Walton Goggins just dropped some news about Season 2 of the hit Prime Video series, and it sounds like it’s going to top the first season.

Bigger and Better

Speaking to Deadline at The White Lotus Season 3 premiere (watch the videl below), Goggins shared that Fallout Season 2 is currently filming. Production started in November, and according to Goggins, the new season “blows [Season 1] out of the water.”

“We’re in the middle of filming it right now, we’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it,” Goggins said. “This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”

Production Moves to Los Angeles

According to Deadline, Fallout Season 2 moved its production from New York to Los Angeles, thanks to a $25 million tax credit. However, California wildfires caused a brief delay, but despite the setback, filming is said to be back on track.

Based on Bethesda Game Studios’ popular video game, Fallout follows the survivors of luxury fallout shelters as they return to a retrofuturistic wasteland 200 years after the apocalypse. The show quickly became a standout hit on Prime Video topping the Nielsen ratings charts.

Who’s Returning and Who’s New?

Executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and Graham Wagner are back for Season 2. The cast includes Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.

In a new addition, Macaulay Culkin is joining the cast for Season 2, as announced in November.

Goggins’ Other Projects

While working on Fallout, Goggins will also appear in the third season of The White Lotus, which takes place in Thailand and focuses on tourists at a wellness spa. Goggins also provides the voice of Cecil in Prime Video’s hit animated series, Invincible, which just released Season 3.
