Warner Bros. gave CinemaCon attendees a first look at Evil Dead Burn, and the footage sounds exactly like what fans want from the franchise: deadites, chainsaws, hacked-off fingers, and a whole lot of blood.
The new movie is directed by Sébastien Vaniček and is set for release on July 24, 2026. The cast includes Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, and Tandi Wright.
Evil Dead Burn footage shown at CinemaCon
The footage (unfinished) opens on a mother unloading a dishwasher packed with sharp silverware before a knock at the door changes everything.
When she opens it, she is confronted by an undead corpse with four severed fingers and a car headrest impaled through her head and neck.
She yanks it out, drops it to the floor, and unleashes terror on the family.
The footage then flashes back to a gruesome car accident and a door slamming shut on a girl’s fingers, severing them.
From there, the trailer turns savage.
The deadite shoves a boy onto the open dishwasher, impaling him with cutlery, then jumps on his chest and drives the silverware deeper into his body.
Other shots show blood everywhere, people scrambling to survive, and twisted images of the undead woman stalking the house while promising the whole family will be reunited.
One of the final scenes reportedly has her drinking hot candle wax before scaring a young man backward, causing him to trip over the open dishwasher and fall into a storm of knives.
Footage keeps the plot under wraps but shows the tone
The plot is still being kept quiet, but the footage makes clear this one is going for pure brutality.
The teaser includes lines such as “My sweet boy, I would give anything for us to be together again,” along with a more sarcastic, sinister toast to a “perfect family.”
The footage also included rough and unfinished shots, with Warner Bros. host Patton Oswalt telling the crowd it was a very early look and that the filmmakers had made it extra disturbing.

Evil Dead Burn opens in theaters on July 24, 2026. Vaniček is directing after breaking out with Infested, and the movie stars Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, and Tandi Wright.
