And another one bites the dust as Disney has canceled the Marvel’s Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur animated series after two seasons.
The show was first released in February of 2023 and follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, the duo works together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.
The series was executive produced by Laurence Fishburne where he also voiced The Beyonder, but we obviously see Marvel’s Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur failed to take off.
Season 2 recently concluded in August with the first half of the season, but it’s learned there will be additional episodes to close the series off in 2025.
News of Disney cancelling Marvel’s Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur is confirmed by the show’s creators who responded and retweeted posts from a DisneyToon fan account.
fyi: afaik it does NOT end on a cliffhanger.

Gabi Rode, who works at Disney, also tweeted, “What sucks is that a bunch of us at Disney knew about this for so long but couldn’t outright say it. The MoonGirl production area was a ghost town for over a year.”
