Superman To Be Featured In Supergirl Season 2

I guess it works both ways

With Superman dead in the DCEU, the Man of Steel will be introduced in Supergirl Season 2.

We’ve already seen glimpses of Superman in Supergirl, but it’s always been a blurred and real short appearance. Now THR reports The CW is currently casting a Superman different than Henry Cavill who will first appear in the first two episodes of Supergirl.

It’s further said Superman will first be seen visiting his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist) in National City at the beginning of the series’ second season.

“Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”

I’m actually surprised WB is going ahead with this decision following the controversial casting of Ezra Miller as the DCEU Flash, as there has been lots of not only negative fan sentiments, but negative reaction from The CW actors as well. Don’t get me wrong, not that I think this is a bad thing at all. If anything, I am guessing Berlanti and Kreisberg’s version of Superman will come off a lot better than what Zack Snyder did with Superman in Man of Steel and Batman Vs. Superman. I’m also guessing The CW version of Superman will be a lot closer to the Christopher Reeve version, which all the fans know and love. Should be good. Glad they can at least get Superman right on TV.
