Michael Keaton Back In Talks For Spider-Man: Homecoming Villain

Perhaps after seeing the stellar performance of Captain America: Civil War, Michael Keaton may have changed his mind as now it’s reported the actor is back in talks to play the villain of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

THR reports that talks between Michael Keaton and Marvel initially stalled, with Marvel approaching other actors. It’s said Marvel eventually circled back around to Keaton, and now Michael Keaton is closing the deal for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which basically means he has landed the part.

Update: Deadline reports it’s a done deal and Michael Keaton will play Vulture.

It’s unknown which villain Michael Keaton will play in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the Vulture has been rumored.

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a July 7, 2017 release directed by Jon Watts starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Iron Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, with Zendaya, Laura Harrier and Tony Revolori.
