Avengers and X-Men Crossover Hopes Shot Down By James Gunn

Still hoping for that Avengers and X-Men crossover?

Well, according to James Gunn — keep hoping.

This past week saw the news become known that Marvel and Fox Studios came to a mutual deal which saw a trade for characters that were used in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Fox’s Deadool.

Obviously with Fox and Marvel working together, many fans speculated the “bad blood” between the two studios was over — which may mean Avengers vs X-Men on the big screen!

James Gunn recently answered a fan’s question on Facebook where he put the brakes on any perceived “friendship” between Marvel and Fox (or Avengers and X-Men) as a fan asked Gunn if this now means The Thing (owned by Fox) could appear in a Guardians of the Galaxy movie (Marvel).

Gunn’s response: “They aren’t more chit chatty. Sometimes studios have to make deals. People shouldn’t infer anything more than that.”

While Gunn’s answer may seem pessimistic (or maybe just realistic) that an Avengers and X-Men crossover (or another Marvel and Fox deal) will happen, you have to admit that an Avengers and X-Men crossover movie would be beneficial for both companies. I might even say Avengers Vs. X-Men might even be bigger than The Avengers: Infinity War. Can’t hurt to hope, guys.

Which is the best video game soundtrack?
