Warning: Spoilers for Ant-Man follow.
Yahoo caught up with Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige and asked about the future of Wasp.
“It’s going to be certainly a part of our Phase 3,” Feige said. “It is going to be a very important moment, and — spoiler alert! — we see that suit for the first time, and her father now is finally giving it to her and realizes that he can’t hold her back from what is essentially her destiny. It's going to be a very big part of one of our upcoming films.”
The video also sees Ant-Man director Peyton Reed talking about the Falcon scene.
"The kid in me loved it, because that’s what I loved in the Marvel comics,” Reed offeres. “It’s like, okay, this character has these powers, and this one has this, and what happens if they go up against each other? Scott is clearly not prepared for what he’s about to come up against, but he really, at the last minute, makes some very smart tactical decisions,” Reed said of the battle. “And that was really fun — sort of, who’s going to get what licks in this fight?”
"Ant-Man" is now in theaters starring Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket.
The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
