Constantine Returns As Animated Series; Hopeful For Live-Action Return

Good news for fans of Constantine as The CW has announced a new animated series for their digital network CW Seed featuring Matt Ryan as the voice of the character.

NBC cancelled Constantine following one season, which then saw Constantine appear on Arrow Season 4. Matt Ryan is also voicing Constantine in the upcoming animated Justice League Dark movie.

It's reported The CW has picked up at least five 10-minute episodes of the new Constantine animated series, which joins Vixen on CW Seed. Greg Berlanti and David S. Goyer will be producers on the project.

Deadline notes the president of The CW, Mark Pedowitz, said there are currently no plans for Matt Ryan to return as Constantine in a live-action appearance, but they hope to have him back since his first appearance “added dimension” to Arrow.
