Chris Hemsworth Wants Hugh Jackman Back As Wolverine

Chris Hemsworth Wants Hugh Jackman Back As Wolverine

Chris Hemsworth recently finished up his Marvel Studios contract with The Avengers: Infinity War and The Avengers 4.

The actor did state he wants to return as Thor following Avengers 4, and now Chris Hemsworth says he wants Thor to team with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine since Disney is purchasing Fox Studios and the X-Men characters.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Chris Hemsworth says, “I mean, Wolverine, just because I love that character, you know what I mean? I just love Hugh Jackman. Unfortunately, he died in the last movie, didn’t he?”

The Logan movie isn’t a part of continuity, but something standalone (and not even a part of the MCU), and it’s explained to Chris Hemsworth that Logan has resurrected in the comics, which sees Hemsworth state he is going to try and convince Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine.

“We can bring him back to life… Now that you’ve informed me that it’s a possibility, I’m going to get on the one phone and try to coax him over or convince him and see if he has one more in him,” Hemsworth said.

Chris Hemsworth and Thor saw renewed success with the different approach, direction and tone of Thor: Ragnarok, and while Thor and Wolverine rarely team up in the Marvel comics, a Chris Hemsworth Thor and Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie would be quite different as well.

It’s actually rumored that Hugh Jackman may be returning as Wolverine in The Avengers 4 as previously saw Jackman state the only way he would do more Wolverine is if he was paired with The Avengers.

“I always love the idea of him (Wolverine) within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously, with Iron Man but there are a lot of smarter people with MBAs who can’t figure that out [laughter]. You never know. At the moment, honestly, if I really did have them there, I probably wouldn’t have said this is the last,” Jackman said.
