Charles Dance’s Karellen Revealed For SyFy’s Childhood’s End

The first of three parts for SyFy’s event mini-series, Childhood’s End, aired tonight which sees the Overlords arriving on Earth and promising to take mankind into a Golden Age.

Charles Dance happens to be the voice of the head honcho, Supervisor Karellen, with the look of the character having been kept under tight wraps as the Overlords don’t resemble humans.

Now with the first episode having aired, Karellen stands revealed following having overseen Earth for the past 15 years.

Part 2 of Childhood’s End airs tomorrow, Tuesday, December 15th, at 8pm ET, with Part 3 on Wednesday.

Synopsis:

Hailed as a revolutionary work of science fiction since its publishing in 1953, Childhood’s End follows the peaceful invasion of Earth by the mysterious Overlords, whose arrival begins decades of apparent utopia under indirect alien rule, at the cost of human identity and culture which may ultimately threaten the very survival of mankind.

Julian McMahon as Robert Rupert Boyce, an enigmatic American entrepreneur; Daisy Betts as Ellie, an arts graduate engaged to marry Rick Stormgren (Mike Vogel), the most influential human in the world; Emmy Award nominee Charles Dance as Karellen (Game of Thrones), along with Ashley Zukerman as Jake Greggson (Manhattan), Osy Ikhileas as Milo (Clap!) and Yael Stone as Peretta Jones (Orange is the New Black), with Colm Meaney.
