The question may not be which side to choose in Captain America: Civil War, but who will make it out alive?
So far the bets are against the survival of War Machine due to the footage in the trailers, which many think will be the catalyst that causes Tony Stark to side against Team Cap.
Don Cheadle happens to be on Twitter and has been getting a lot of feedback regarding the possibility and tells the NY Daily News the following about the reaction to War Machine’s potential demise:
“I’m on Twitter, so I’ve gotten a few people going, ‘Rhodey better not be dead, son. I’m going to be so mad.’ Or ‘I’m done with this thing if Rhodey’s dead,’ “
“But that’s cool, I like that people get so upset about it,” he adds. “I like that in a Marvel movie people are able to evoke such emotion.”
Cheadle wouldn’t directly comment on what may or may not happen with War Machine in Captain America: Civil War, but did admit and tease: “It does look bad for Rhodey.”
Don Cheadle also stars in the Miles Davis biopic, Miles Ahead, which is out April 1st.
“Captain America: Civil War” has a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
Synopsis:
Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity.
