Bryan Cranston Apogizes To David Yost Over Blue Ranger Comments From 7 years Ago

Following up on the story we reported from about a week ago that saw original Blue Ranger David Yost call Bryan Cranston a homophobe, now Cranston has publicly apologized for his remarks from seven years ago.

“To be honest, I don’t remember saying that,” Cranston told NBC News through his publicist. “But I accept that I may have as Mr. Yost suggests, in an attempt at humor. To hear that my impulsive comment hurt someone’s feelings, makes me contrite. I accept responsibility for the thoughtless remark and apologize to Mr. Yost and anyone else who may have been offended.”

Yost has since deleted the tweet, but offered to NBC News that he experienced a very difficult time on the set of The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers dealing with others and his homosexuality and was displeased by Cranston’s remarks in an interview with IGN that took place in 2009.

The Blue Ranger was named after Bryan Cranston who did voice work for the original series, and Cranston has since been cast in the new Power Rangers movie as Zordon.

Cranston is also well known for his support of LGBT rights.

David Yost recently posed in a pic alongside new Blue Ranger RJ Cyler (see below) and has a new movie coming out with The Order.
