A Boba Fett Star Wars movie is happening.
The Boba Fett movie is in the works with The Wolverine writer/director James Mangold on board writing and directing the flick.
The news comes right when Han Solo debuts in theaters with advanced Thursday night previews.
The Boba Fett movie marks the second Star Wars movie focusing on a solo character, and the third spinoff, following Han Solo and Rogue One.
Disney also has plans for an Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff movie with Stephen Daldry in talks to direct, though no script is currently being worked on.
Boba Fett is a huge fan-favorite character who first debuted back in Empire Strikes Back and then appeared in Return of the Jedi. The character is a mercenary who brings the frozen body of Han Solo to Jabba the Hutt.
Boba Fett was also featured in the Star Wars prequels along with his “father” Jango Fett.
The plot details on the movie are being kept under wraps.
