Blade Runner 2049 opened this past weekend, and now its Rotten Tomatoes score is in.

The film produced by Ridley Scott has a stellar Rotten Tomatoes score of 88% Fresh.

Of the 254 reviews counted to date, Blade Runner 2049 has 223 Fresh to 31 Rotten; 83% of the audience also stated they liked it.

While the reviews for Blade Runner 2049 have been good, the same can’t be said for its box office.

Blade Runner 2049 opened in the U.S. to a disappointing $31.5 Million (it was expected to make around $45-55 million) and has a current worldwide gross of near $82 million. 

The film cost around $150 million to make.

Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve starring Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi and Robin Wright.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
