What is Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League about?
Translated, the description states: “The over-the-top action entertainment from Japan that took the world by storm is back! This time, the stage is set in the world of Yakuza, following the Sengoku period!?”
In history, The Sengoku period was a time of nearly constant military conflict and social upheaval in Japan, lasting from the mid-15th century to the early 17th century. It is often depicted in media as a time of samurai battles and feudal lords. So it seems instead of the Justice League, it’s Batman vs the Yakuza League.
Jumpei Mizusaki returns to direct, with Shinji Takagi also directing. The screenplay is from Sazuki Nakashima. Character designs are from Takashi Okazaki. The music is by Yugo Kanno, and the animation production is from Kamikaze Douga.
Koichi Yamadera stars as Batman.
