Warner Bros. Home Entertainment officially announces the new Batman Ninja anime movie at the New York Comic-Con and released the following poster.
Batman Ninja is directed by Jumpei Mizusaki with character designs by Takashi Okazaki, written by Kazuki Nakashima, with the English-language script by Leo Chu & Eric Garcia.
Footage from Batman Ninja was shown at the NYCC revealing Batman is flung back in time to medieval Japan where he is shown in shogun armor battling Joker who is also decked out in ancient Japanese attire while shrieking his trademark laugh.
The pair are shown battling on a Japanese tiled rooftop with Joker taunting Batman about being the same bloodthirsty killer that he was in Gotham.
Batman Ninja footage further reveals that Nightwing, Harley Quinn, Penguin, and Gorilla Grodd have all traveled back in time as well and are dressed in ancient Japanese clothing..
Harley Quinn is shown with her large mallet, but instead of simply smashing everything to bits, her fighting style is a lot more graceful.
Finally, the Batmobile explodes onto the scene and the teaser fades.
Batman Ninja figures have also been revealed offering a look at Joker (via Toy Ark; see below).
Batman Ninja gets released in 2018.
