New Badass Look at Matilda Lutz as Red Sonja

New Badass Look at Matilda Lutz as Red Sonja

There might be hope for the new Red Sonja movie if the following image of Matilda Lutz as the titular character is anything to go by.

The official Red Sonja Instagram account released a behind-the-scenes image of the actress as the titular character with director M.J. Bassett.

“It’s HER Time….” tweeted the account.

The image shows off Matilda Lutz with the red hair, the makeup, armor, and the Red Sonja sword.

In the comics, Red Sonja is more known for basically wearing a bikini. Correct me if I am wrong, I think only recently did they put in her armor. I don’t think the image looks bad, so cross your fingers.

That said, it did sound as if the Red Sonja movie was going woke. Hopefully they decided against going that route as the woke approach has been a complete disaster.

The film is from Millennium Media and also stars Robert Sheehan from Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy as Draygan, and Wallis Day of Sex/Life is playing Red Sonja’s wicked half-sister, Annisia. Additional casting includes Michael Bisping as Hawk, Martyn Ford as General Karlak, Eliza Matengu as Amarak, Manal El Feitury as Ayala, and Katrina Durden as Saevus. The script is by Joey Soloway (Transparent) and Tasha Huo (Netflix’s Tomb Raider).
