Is there a The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene? Tonight is the big night as the sequel to Infinity War debuts with the advanced Thursday night previews.
So to get right down to it, is there a The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene? Nope!
The film is a tad over three hours and the credits are really, really, really long. As I avoided all spoilers prior to the film’s release, I went in not knowing if there was a The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene or two, so I did stay until the end. Actually, the screen was black for a while after the movie, and I kept waiting and waiting and waiting, but nothing happened. I will say, however, that fans on our Facebook page did say there was an audio The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene, but honestly, I didn’t hear it. According to the fans, the audio features Iron Man hammering away creating his first armor from the first Iron Man movie, but again, I didn’t hear it. Even if that is the case and you didn’t stay, it’s not like you really missed much.
Small spoiler follows.
Kevin Feige recently revealed that Spider-Man: Far From Home marks the last movie in Marvel’s Phase 3 plans. Without getting into any spoilers, I suppose you could say The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene takes place within the movie, which is something, that if they wanted, they could have held off until a post credit scene, but again, it wasn’t a really big deal.
Regarding my thoughts on there being no The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene, I was alright with it and it makes sense with how things played out. Considering that this is essentially the end of the MCU as we know it (#RIPMCU), the flick didn’t need a post credit scene, IMO. Again, they already had a Spider-Man type thing, but nothing else was needed. What they did is kept the movie withing specific confines (for lack of a better word, I guess) and didn’t go overboard (again, no spoilers), so I was pretty happy with what we got.
So long story short: NO The Avengers: Endgame post credit scene and, and you don’t have to wait through the end credits.
