Avengers 4 Spoilers and Fan Theory Possible

The end of The Avengers: Infinity War saw half the universe, including the Marvel heroes, turn to dust courtesy of the Great Titan Thanos, so the question remains what is going to happen in The Avengers 4?

Following set images having leaked online, a popular fan theory has it that The Avengers 4 will have some sort of time travel element, as pics showed Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man seemingly back in time around the first Avengers movie (see below). 

In addition, during Ant-Man and the Wasp, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet Van Dyne warned Scott Lang about Time Vortexes inside the Quantum Realm. Plus, we seemingly saw Janet and Scott exchange bodies, with Scott seeing a vision from the past involving a young Hope.

The Avengers: Infinity War post-credit scene may have also hinted at time travel as it showed Nick Fury paging Captain Marvel–with the upcoming Captain Marvel movie being set in the ’90s, so Carol Danvers has to make it to our time somehow.

Now Huff Post catches up with Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed who says The Avengers 4 fan theory is possible.

“Based on the science that we’ve set up in the first movie and this one, I won’t rule out the possibility,” Reed said, “because, again, we are dealing with a time vortex. That could happen.”

Peyton Reed also offered a big clue time travel could factor into The Avengers 4 – as currently Scott Lang has no way out of the Quantum Realm – as the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp saw Hank Pym, Janet and Hope all turn to dust.

“This is a new suit, so it really wouldn’t have the same growth that he had in the first movie … I would answer, ‘No, he does not have it.’ He can’t go to that well twice,” said Reed, referring to the enlarging Pym Particle disc he used to escape the other dimension in the first movie.

So the obvious escape route might be that Ant-Man uses a Time Vortex to escape the Quantum Realm in The Avengers 4?

Following the release of The Avengers: Infinity War, rumors for The Avengers 4 spoilers leaked online, which just happened to mention time travel as well.

The Avengers 4 has a May 3, 2019 release directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
