Directors Tease Ant-Man & Hawkeye For Avengers 4

Noticeably missing from The Avengers: Infinity War was both Ant-Man and Hawkeye, but at least they will be featured in The Avengers 4.

Joe and Anthony Russo touch upon the characters while speaking with MTV.

“There’s a very specific story choice why,” Anthony Russo explained about Ant-Man and Hawkeye not being a part of The Avengers: Infinity War.

Joe Russo added about The Avengers 4: “We have a very interesting story cooked up for both of those characters, and part of that story required they be under house arrest.”

Students at the Iowa City High School also asked about Ant-Man and Hawkeye in Avengers 4, as it was pointed out that Ant-Man is featured on the Time Stone in the Infinity War IMAX poster.

Student: So this is a two part question- are hawkeye and antman going to come back to help out- and is Ant Man on the time stone on the poster?

Russo: Ant man just planted himself on the time stone from the very beginning?

Student: Yes

Russo: Well he’s very patient- I can’t get into Ant Man or Hawkeye- gotta wait a bit to find out what Ant Man is up to.

It’s is known that the Russo brothers filmed scenes with both of the characters, and interestingly enough set images are said to have featured Ant-Man together with Doctor Strange, which could be for Avengers 4. Marvel also released a teaser for Ant-Man and the Wasp questioning where the characters were for Infinity War:
