While the Twitter detectives were right about John Cleese, it remains to be seen if Armie Hammer has been cast in a role for the DCEU.
It's been speculated for a while that Armie Hammer may be playing Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern Corps movie. Speculation kicked off following fans discovering that Armie Hammer and the co-runner of the DC films Geoff Johns had followed one another and other actors in the DC film universe on Twitter.
To add to the speculation, Armie Hammer also teased involvement in the DCEU, which seemed more or less Hammer having fun with the fans.
Now the latest sees The Wrap having recently caught up with Armie Hammer, but this time Hammer says Green Lantern is news to him.
“I saw the reporting too,” Hammer said last week about the Green Lantern rumors. “That’s the first I’ve heard of it."
The report also mentions a rumored list of actors wanted for the role of Green Lantern, with most of them seeming like wishful thinking: Tom Cruise , Joel McHale, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal and Hammer.
While Armie Hammer may not be playing Green Lantern, he could still be in the DCEU, possibly even Two-Face for Ben Affleck's Batman movie.
