It turns out the Twitter detectives were correct in speculating John Cleese has been cast in a role in the DCEU for Justice League and/or Ben Affleck's Batman.
The English actor has recently posted an image of himself on Twitter where DC Comics graphics novels can be seen.
"Getting into character before tonight's Q&A in Worcester, MA," Cleese tweeted last Friday.
The graphic novels John Cleese has been studying up on include Batman Noir: The Black Mirror, which is described as: A series of murders pushes Batman’s detective skills to the limit and forces him to confront one of Gotham City’s oldest evils. Can Batman and Commissioner Gordon unravel this mystery in time to save Gotham City?
John Cleese is also reading Justice League Origin, which is Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's New 52 Justice League arc.
Also seen is the Batman: The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel, Frank Miller's classic Batman story.
Any ideas who John Cleese could be playing?
