Is Armie Hammer playing Green Lantern in Justice League?

Following the Twitter sleuths uncovering John Cleese, now Armie Hammer is speculated for a role in the DCEU due to being recently followed by Geoff Johns, co-runner of the DC films and president of DC Entertainment.

Update: Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello is now following Armie Hammer on Twitter.

Armie Hammer was actually up to play Batman in the defunct George Miller Justice League Mortal movie, so it wouldn't be unheard of for WB to go back to him. Armie Hammer also recently co-starred with Superman Henry Cavill in The Man From UNCLE, and similar to Hammer, prior to joining Man of Steel, Cavill was also previously up for the role of Superman. Amy Adams tried out for Lois Lane numerous time as well.

The redditors are hoping for Armie Hammer to play Hal Jordan Green Lantern. Back when Hammer was filming Man from UNCLE, he was questioned about starring in Batman vs. Superman in which he said he wasn't a fan of superhero movies: "I’m not actually a big fan of superhero films. If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what’s the point?" However, a couple weeks prior to that Armie Hammer did offer praise for Marvel and the Avengers (he was a fan-favorite choice to play Hank Pym in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man). Hammer's comment actually sounds like he isn't a fan of Superman, compared to Batman who is rather vulnerable.

Maybe Armie Hammer would make a good villain? The guy is an imposing 6'5"; how about Darkseid or Brainiac? Or would Armie Hammer be better off playing Green Lantern?

"Justice League" has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.

Synopis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Who should be the next big MCU villain?
