Marvel Studios is launching their first female superhero movie in 2018 with Captain Marvel.
Now it’s rumored Marvel wants Angelina Jolie to direct.
According to the gossip magazine, OK!, Marvel has offered Angelina Jolie $20 million to direct Captain Marvel, and Disney executives are said to be impressed with Jolie’s work on Unbroken.
It’s unclear how trustworthy the magazine is as they describe themselves as an entertainment and celebrity gossip mag, but more than likely Marvel is trying to get a female director for the gig.
Captain Marvel has a July 6, 2018 release.
