FX reveals Sarah Paulson’s new character for American Horror Story: Apocalypse and also announces a new viral site with a contest.
Sarah Paulson will be playing not one, not two, but three characters with medium Billie Dean Howard from Season 1’s Murder House, Cordelia Goode the witch from Season 3’s Coven, and this season it is revealed she is playing the new character Venable.
The latest teaser features Paulson as Venable who appears to be holding some sort of lottery as she says, “This is your chance to survive.”
The teaser also features a new viral site thebeginningisnear.tv, which states, “Decimation Is Upon Us.” Fans can sign up for a chance to win an exclusive American Horror Story: Apocalypse experience.

FX also released a “Shockwave” teaser seemingly featuring the anti-christ as a child who blows out the candles and starts a nuclear war. “Make a wish,” the video description teases.

Sarah Paulson will also make her directorial debut with the sixth episode, which features the debut of Jessica Lange on AHS: Apocalypse.
Plot details known include that this season is a crossover between Murder House and Coven with the anti-christ child from Season 1 all grown up, played by Cody Fern.
Creator Ryan Murphy also recently confirmed the returning witch cast in additon to Paulson: Stevie Nicks, Lily Rabe as Misty Day, Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery, Taissa Farmiga as Zoe Benson, Gabourey Sidibe back as Queenie and Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse premiers September 12 on FX also starring Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson and newcomer Joan Collins.
