Marvel TV and ABC have unleashed a new poster for the highly anticipated Season 5 of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
Coming off of Season 4 where the Agents of SHIELD battled Aida, the LMD’s, the Framework and the Darkhold, with the help of Ghost Rider, now Agents of SHIELD appears to be headed out into space.
Last we saw of Phil Coulson and the SHIELD agents was at the end of the Season 4 finale, when they were frozen and kidnapped. We then saw Coulson apparently a worker of some sort on board a ship or space station.
It’s theorized Agents of SHIELD Season 5 may have something to do with another Marvel governmental agency, SWORD, the Sentient World Observation and Response Department, which protects Earth from alien threats.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 5 is set to return following the airing of Marvel’s Inhumans on ABC.
