Supermodel Kendall Jenner is the new Wonder Woman! That is… for Halloween!
Kendall posted an image of herself to her nearly 300 million followers on Instagram along with a video.
The pic features Kendall Jenner as the Lynda Carter version sporting the iconic costume from the 1970s TV series. Watch the video below.
A Glamorous Spin on Amazonian Power
The suit features a red bustier and bodice: The top part of the costume is a bright red bustier with a gold eagle emblem in the center of the chest. The bustier is strapless and fitted.
The Lynda Carter Wonder Woman also wears blue star-spangled briefs featuring white stars, which are high-cut and accentuate her long legs. The briefs are an homage to the American flag, reflecting a patriotic theme.
The gold tiara is also featured with a red star in the middle, which she uses as a boomerang-like weapon. The tiara is an essential part of her iconic look and symbolizes her royal status as an Amazon princess from home of Themyscira.
Kendall Jenner also sports the iconic golden bracelets, also known as the Bracelets of Submission, which have various abilities, including deflecting bullets and other projectiles.
Wonder Woman also carries her Lasso of Truth that she wears around her waist like a belt; the magical golden lasso that compels those ensnared by it to tell the truth.
Last but certainly not least is the knee-high, red leather boots featuring a white stripe at the top.
The video features Kendal Jenner doing the “Wonder Woman spin,” a signature move associated with the character, particularly popularized by Lynda Carter in the 1970s television series. In the series, when Diana Prince, Wonder Woman’s alter ego, needed to transform into her superhero persona, she would spin around rapidly, and through the magic of television editing, her regular clothes would transform into her iconic Wonder Woman costume!
The latest news surrounding Wonder Woman is that James Gunn is said to be recasting Gal Gadot for his new DCU. Recently saw Eiza Gonzalez respond to a post by James Gunn about the God of War Wonder Woman, leading to speculation that Eiza Gonzalez could play Diana in the Paradise Lost TV series.
