What is May the 4th be with you?
Star Wars Day, May the 4th, is a day celebrated by Star Wars fans around the world, which is a play on the iconic Jedi phrase “May The Force be with you.” The day is a chance for fans to come together and celebrate all things Star Wars, whether that is re-watching the movies, wearing Star Wars-themed clothing, or participating in special events and activities.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 2
Available today includes Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 featuring creators from around the world visiting the galaxy far, far away.
“Volume 1 was incredibly successful for us, and incredibly validating because I think we all felt we had something special. We all worked so hard to try to bring it to life, but it was a risk. Ultimately when it landed the way it did, it gave us license to start really talking about a Volume 2, and seeing how that could evolve and what that could be,” Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, executive producer, tells StarWars.com. “Given the incredible animation work happening around the globe, it felt like we really wanted to take this idea of Visions and take audiences on a more global tour, and see what these different cultural perspectives would give us when it comes to looking at Star Wars.”
The Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures
The Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures animated series is also available on Disney+ and it is set 200 years before The Phantom Menace, during the High Republic era.
The animated series follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way.
Fortnite
The prequels also became available this week on Fortnite featuring Anakin, Obi-Wan, and even Darth Maul!
During the “Find the Force” event, several rifts will open throughout the Island, with holograms of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and even Darth Maul waiting to train players in The Force. Players can enter the rifts and based on the trainer they interact with, they’ll emerge with their very own lightsaber — blue, green, or red — along with the ability to use one of several Force abilities, including Push, Pull, and Throw.
