Details:
Monolith and Warner Bros. Interactive promise that Wonder Woman will be a single-player open-world action-adventure game that will tell an original story set within the DC Universe. The game will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira in the fight to unite her Amazon family along with the humans from the modern world. Wonder Woman will by powered by Monolith’s Nemesis System, and gamers will forge deep connections with both enemies and allies as they progress from a heroic fighter into a proven leader.
Monolith has a pretty solid track record over the past decade and know their way around a popular franchise. In 2014, they released Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, a bestselling fantasy set in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic fantasies that introduced the Nemesis System for which they’ve become known. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was critically acclaimed and was selected as Game of the Year by the Game Developers Choice Awards, GameSpot and Giant Bomb. It was followed by a 2017 sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Wonder Woman is the first game announced by Monolith since then.
Wonder Woman is also featured in Injustice: Gods of War, Injustice 2, and DC Universe Online. Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League video games are also in the works.
