With the revelation that the Joker is apparently involved in some sort of riot scene, while Batman may not answer the call, the Gotham City police force does!
Check out an image of an old school 1980s Gotham City police car that someone snapped on its way to the set (available on imgur here).
The light blue and white cruiser sports the Gotham City PD logo on its door, with “75 PCT” (75th precinct) and car number “9971.”
Maybe Jim Gordon will be featured in the flick?
Regarding the Joker riot scene, images and footage have surfaced online from a subway scene that director Todd Phillips recently filmed. The footage shows off Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker walking out of the subway when all hell breaks loose. There appears to be some sort of political demonstration going on that is against capitalism and the Wayne family. Signs can be seen stating: “Fascist Wayne is to blame,” “Kill the rich,” and “Anti-Authoritarian. Ant-Capitalist. A Job is a right. Capitalism does not work for you.”
The movie is set in the 1980s, so perhaps they are demonstrating against Ronald Reagan? Another possibility is that director Todd Phillips retooled the character of Thomas Wayne from someone who rebuilds Gotham City to someone the people blame for its downfall.
Maybe the Joaquin Phoenix Joker is some sort of people’s party hero?

Joaquin Phoenix Joker
The Joker origin movie centers around the iconic arch nemesis of Batman and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of a man disregarded by society is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale. The film follows the transformation of a struggling stand-up comedian to a full-blown criminal force of nature.
The movie stars Robert DeNiro as a talk show host; with Deadpool 2’s Zazie Beetz playing a single mom who catches the interest of the man who will become the clown prince of crime; Marc Maron is the agent responsible for getting the Joker on DeNiro’s talk show, with the film also starring Frances Conroy and Josh Pais.
Joker has an October 4, 2019 release date.
