Disney is finally releasing both The Avengers and The Avengers: Age Of Ultron on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-Ray.
The info comes from a Canadian catalog that lists the 4K release for August 14, 2018.
An online store in Australia also lists the release date around the same time, and digital retailer Vudu now lists the The Avengers and The Avengers: Age Of Ultron 4K as being available for pre-order.
Disney first released Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on 4K (though there is question if it’s true 4K) last August, as well as 4K releases for Thor: Ragnarok in March and Black Panther in May.
Sony also released Spider-Man: Homecoming in 4K back in October, with Universal Pictures having released the 2008 The Incredible Hulk movie in the format this past April.
The Avengers was released May 4, 2012 and brought in over $1.5 billion; The Avengers: Age of Ultron, released May 1, 2015, brought in $1.4 billion.
The Avengers: Infinity War is currently playing in theaters and is closing in on $2 billion (I can’t wait for that to hit Blu-Ray!) and is available for pre-order through Amazon.
