Last night at the Empire Awards, Steven Spielberg revealed that Indiana Jones 5 will start filming in the UK in April 2019.
“It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK,” Steven Spielberg said. “The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here.”
Disney has given Indiana Jones 5 a July 20, 2020 release date, which will see Steven Spielberg directing and re-teaming with Harrison Ford, with the script being written by David Kroepp (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man), and Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshal are producing.
Steven Spielberg also has Ready Player One coming out this month and is adapting West Side Story.
Harrison Ford first appeared as Indiana Jones back in 1981 for Raiders of the Lost Ark, which spawned three sequels including The Temple Of Doom (1984), The Last Crusade (1989) and Crystal Skull (2008).
